I’m partnering with a dynamic and growing manufacturing and distribution company, looking to add a CPA-designated Senior Accountant to their finance team. In this role, you'll work closely with the Director of Finance and play a key role in driving financial accuracy and operational efficiency across the business. You’ll collaborate across departments, mentor junior staff, and help maintain a strong internal control environment.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Finance, your duties and key responsibilities will include:

1. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
2. Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
3. Manage general ledger functions and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting
4. Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes
5. Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
6. Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
7. Develop and maintain internal financial controls and procedures
8. Coordinate with external auditors during audit processes
9. Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory compliance
10. Provide mentorship to junior accounting staff
11. Collaborate cross-functionally to promote financial clarity and efficiency
12. Manage payroll and HR-related responsibilities, including benefits administration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA designation (will also consider foreign designations)
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing and/or distribution environment
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong communication abilities
• Capable of working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
