Job summary

Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce is partnering with a client to hire a Production Worker to support laboratory and plant-floor operations in an agricultural production environment. The role involves hands-on sample processing, data tracking, and QA support on the production floor.

The position offers a competitive hourly wage starting at $23/hr, full-time temporary status, and rotating day/afternoon shifts with potential nights during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and tracking.
• Strong communication and ability to follow detailed procedures.
• Ability to work in dusty/chemical environments.
• Willingness to complete medical evaluation and N95 fit testing.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Process treated seed samples and support lab activities on the production floor.
• Record, track, and manage sample data with high accuracy.
• Assist with printing labels/tags and updating process docs.
• Operate small-scale processing equipment per procedures.
• Support quality activities, including sample evaluation and basic QA checks.
• Identify inconsistencies and troubleshoot where needed.
• Prepare, package, and coordinate shipment of samples when required.
• Contribute to seasonal tasks like crop monitoring and inventory support.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
