Harvest Community Inc. is seeking a Temporary Production Support Worker (Casual) in WHITE CITY, SK. The role supports a rural day program by assisting with light-industrial production tasks and collaborating with participants and staff to meet contracts.

Shifts begin Sept 10, 2026 through late November 2026 (potential extension): Thursdays 2pm–6pm, Fridays 12pm–4pm, Saturdays 8am–4pm. No formal education required; 0–6 months experience acceptable. Transportation required.

Responsibilities

  • Be a role model in the workplace.
  • Support Day Program Participants and staff during production activities.
  • Maintain clean and safe work spaces.
  • Assist with handi-flag production and other light industrial tasks as directed.
  • Assist in wiping rag operations by cutting, sorting, weighing, and boxing textiles.
  • Ensure daily production meets high quality and industry standards.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, participants, volunteers, customers, and visitors.
  • Report concerns regarding participants to the Program Manager or Program Assistant.
  • Attend training seminars as directed.
  • Ensure safe operation of equipment including pallet jacks and gators.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Harvest Community Inc. is a rural vocational Day Program that supports adults with diverse abilities, located near Kronau, SK. Staff work alongside participants to meet light-industrial production contracts. This post is for a staff position.

CORE FUNCTIONS:

To assist and provide support production operations in the day program. Understands and agrees with the acts according to the principles, values and mandate of Harvest Community Inc.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

Reports to the Production Supervisor on production matters and the Program Manager on participant, non-production programming matters.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • 1. To be a role model in the workplace.
  • 2. To support, and work alongside Day Program Participants and staff performing production activities in the day program.
  • 3. Responsible for maintaining clean and safe work spaces.
  • 4. To support handi-flag production and other light industrial production as directed by the Production Supervisor.
  • 5. To support wiping rag operation by cutting, sorting, checking, weighing, and boxing textiles.
  • 6. To ensure that the daily production is high quality and to industry standards.
  • 7. To communicate effectively and respectfully with staff, participants, volunteers, customers, and visitors.
  • 8. To express any concerns regarding Program Participants to the Program Manager or Program Assistant.
  • 9. To attend training seminars as directed.
  • 10. To ensure safe operation of equipment including but not limited to pallet jacks and gators.
  • 11. Other related duties as assigned.

Suitable candidates are required to submit a satisfactory Criminal Record check with Vulnerable Sector Search. Successful candidates have reliable transportation to and from the farm for each shift.

Mandatory shifts beginning September 10 through late November 2026 (with possibility of extension):
  • Thursdays: 2pm-6pm
  • Fridays: 12pm-4pm
  • Saturdays: 8am-4pm (closed on long weekends)
