Concord Security is seeking a Security Manager for a high-profile shopping centre. The role requires exceptional communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to multi-task in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years security experience with at least two in a supervisory role.
• Valid First Aid/CPR is an asset.
• Experience in retail/shopping centre or commercial property environment is an asset.
• Staffing, scheduling, performance management, and development experience.
• Strong knowledge of security operations, investigations, and emergency procedures.
• OH&S legislation and workplace safety knowledge.

Job description

Concord Security has a great opportunity for a Security Manager to join our high profile team at one of the biggest and busiest shopping centres! This position requires excellent communication skills, strong conflict resolution skills, and impeccable leadership management skills, along with the ability to multi-task and remain organized in a busy environment!

Pay Rate: $77,000 - $80,000 / year

Shift Times: 0700-1500

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day security operations, ensuring all employees comply with company policies, procedures, standards, and operational requirements
• Oversee incident management by reviewing investigations, complaints, and service concerns, ensuring appropriate follow-up and corrective action
• Coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and team members, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, teamwork, and exceptional customer service
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety requirements, contractual obligations, and service level agreements while maintaining a safe and secure environment
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through daily communication, operational reporting, site inspections, and the delivery of proactive recommendations and solutions

Requirements:

• Minimum of five (5) years of security experience, including at least two (2) years in a successful supervisory or leadership role
• Valid First Aid/CPR certification is an asset
• Experience in a retail, shopping centre, or commercial property environment is considered an asset
• Demonstrated experience managing staffing, scheduling, performance management, and employee development
• Strong knowledge of security operations, incident investigation, emergency response procedures, and customer service best practices
• Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation and workplace safety requirements
• Excellent leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
• Experience building and maintaining professional relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
• Strong administrative and organizational skills, with experience preparing reports, maintaining records, and tracking operational performance
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and responding to operational emergencies when required
• Proficient with CCTV applications such as Genetec and Avigilon
