GardaWorld is seeking a Temporary Security Supervisor for the Halifax Shopping Centre. You will lead a team of security guards, coordinate daily schedules, and uphold high standards of professionalism and customer service across all shifts.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to handle incidents calmly. Weekend availability and a commitment to ongoing training are expected.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid security guard licence or be eligible to obtain one.
• Must hold a valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
• Previous security experience is required; supervisory or team-management experience is an asset.
• Strong leadership and team-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and professional report-writing abilities.
• Ability to remain calm, professional and respectful when handling challenging situations.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and other shifts as required.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to perform the physical duties associated with the position, including responding to security incidents.
• Willingness and ability to complete required Defensive Tactics training.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification is an asset; candidates must be willing and able to obtain certification.

As a Security Supervisor, you will lead and support a team of security guards, ensure daily security operations run smoothly, and maintain a high standard of professionalism and customer service. You will work closely with guards, management, clients, tenants, visitors, and other stakeholders across all shifts in a dynamic environment.

We are looking for a confident and approachable leader who can handle security incidents professionally, make sound decisions under pressure, and create a positive and respectful team environment.
