Job summary

Commissionaires Great Lakes in London, Ontario is seeking Commissionaires to join our security team. You will perform access control, monitor CCTV, conduct interior and exterior patrols, and maintain professional demeanour.

Qualifications

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Ontario Security Guard License is required.
• WSIB accredited First Aid and CPR certificate is required.
• Must be able to obtain a Reliability Security Clearance and have resided in Canada for 5+ years.
• Ability to work independently and provide high level client service.
• Good attention to detail and physical endurance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure access control policies are followed and client property is secured.
• Monitor CCTV cameras and respond to alarms or incidents.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct; build rapport with staff and clients.
• Complete site reports, logs, and written reports as required.
• Perform regular interior and exterior patrols and provide assistance to clients and visitors.

First Aid and CPR certificate (WSIB accredited)

INTRODUCTION:

Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services.

We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Ensure access control policies and procedures are followed and client property is secured


• Monitor CCTV cameras


• Maintain positive attitude and professional working relationships with employees, visitors and clients


• Complete site reporting requirements, daily logs and written reports


• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and deportment


• Maintain effective communication


• Respond to alarms and calls for assistance


• Provide assistance to employees, clients and visitors


• Regular interior and exterior foot patrols


• Other duties as may be required by the client or site supervisor
