Job summary

Securitas Canada Limited in the Medicine Hat area is hiring Security Guards to monitor client sites, perform patrols, and respond to incidents. Training and certification support is provided, including potential assistance to obtain a security license.

Applicants must be able to pass drug and alcohol tests, have a valid driver’s license, and access to a vehicle. The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and reliable on-site presence.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver license and vehicle.
• First Aid/ CPR is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property, its assets, and personnel.
• Makes periodic patrols to check for irregularities and to inspect protective devices and fire control equipment.
• Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
• Controls access to client sites or facility through the admittance process.
• Patrols assigned sites on foot or in vehicles; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.
• Satisfies client needs by providing excellent customer service while minimizing risk to the client's property and assets.
• Monitors intrusion detection systems using automated alarm and video monitoring software.
• Use computer systems and software to monitor sites and complete basic training.
• Protect evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.

We are seeking SECURITY GUARDS FOR MEDICINE HAT AREA.

• No security guard license?

• We provide full support to help you get certified.

• Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
