Job summary

Securitas Canada is seeking professional Security Guards to join our team across the Greater Toronto Area, including Vaughan. This is a permanent full-time/night, part-time night/weekend, or casual role across multiple client sites.

Guard duties include controlling access, performing wand searches, maintaining reports, and responding to incidents per site procedures. A valid Ontario licence and First Aid/CPR are required. Training and diverse assignments await.

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence and First Aid and CPR Certificate.
• 3-4 years of security experience, preferably with high level security sites.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Ability to complete written reports accurately.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Control access to the site and verify visitors, employees, contractors.
• Wand search and metal detection.
• Control access to restricted areas within the facility.
• Maintain accurate daily activity and incident reports.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in accordance with site procedures.
• Enforce client and site-specific security policies.
• Provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, contractors.
• Maintain a visible security presence.
• Perform other security-related duties as assigned.

Our Security Guards can work in a range of environments, and we are now looking for Security Guards to work in High Profile Data Centres across the Greater Toronto Area. We are looking for individuals for permanent full-time nights, part-time nights on the weekend or casual employment.

What You Will Do

• Control access to the site and verify visitors, employees, contractors.
• Wand search and metal detection
• Control access to restricted areas within the facility.
• Maintain accurate daily activity and incident reports
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in accordance with site procedures
• Enforce client and site-specific security policies
• Provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, contractors.

What We Need From You

• Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence and First Aid and CPR Certificate
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• 3-4 years of security experience, preferably with high level security sites.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
• Strong observation and attention to detail
• Ability to complete written reports accuratelyAbility to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to sit and stand in a quiet enviornment.

• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Previous security experience is an asset, but qualified candidates with a strong customer-service background are encouraged to apply for more experienced roles.
• Priority will be given to candidates with OPEN availability for days, afternoons, nights and weekend shifts and their own vehicle with a G licence. Some sites are NOT accessible by transit.
