Job summary

Commissionaires Great Lakes is seeking a casual Commissionaire for upcoming vacancies across Mississauga, Brampton, Toronto and Scarborough. The role emphasizes security patrols, access control, incident reporting and high standards of appearance and demeanor.

Candidates must hold an Ontario Security Guard License, WSIB First Aid/CPR, and be able to obtain Level II clearance. Flexible hours and a supportive team environment are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have Ontario Security Guard License (or equivalent).
• First Aid and CPR certificate required (WSIB accredited).
• Ability to obtain Level II (Secret) clearance (Canada resident 10+ years, clean record).
• Ability to work alone with high service standards.
• High attention to detail and strong customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure access control policies are followed and client property is secured.
• Monitor CCTV cameras and respond to alarms.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff, visitors and clients.
• Complete site reporting, daily logs and written reports.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and deportment.
• Maintain effective communication with clients and team members.
• Respond to alarms and requests for assistance.
• Provide assistance to employees, clients and visitors.
• Conduct regular interior and exterior foot patrols.
• Perform other duties as required by client or site supervisor.

INTRODUCTION:

Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well-being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services.

We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team as a spare/casual employee. This posting is for an upcoming vacancies.

WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Ensure access control policies and procedures are followed and client property is secured
• Monitor CCTV cameras
• Maintain positive attitude and professional working relationships with employees, visitors and clients
• Complete site reporting requirements, daily logs and written reports
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and deportment
• Maintain effective communication
• Respond to alarms and calls for assistance
• Provide assistance to employees, clients and visitors
• Regular interior and exterior foot patrols
• Other duties as may be required by the client or site supervisor

WE ARE EXCITED FOR YOU TO OFFER US:

• *MUST* Have the ability to obtain Level II (Secret) clearance (resident in Canada 10 years or longer, clean criminal record, clean credit history)
