Paladin Security is seeking a Security Guard for rapid response in Downtown Toronto, specifically at the TD Centre. The role involves access control, mobile patrols, and incident response with strong customer service to tenants and visitors.

This is a full-time position with 12-hour Continental day/night shifts, offering advancement opportunities and a focus on safety, security procedures, and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario security license.
• First Aid & CPR Level C from WSIB-approved provider.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Experience in security or related field is an asset.

Responsabilités

• Patrol interior and exterior areas to identify security risks.
• Verify IDs and manage visitor/vendor entry.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.
• Respond to incidents and coordinate with emergency services when needed.
• Provide directions and assist tenants, employees, and visitors.
• Enforce rules and safe procedures to maintain order.
• Support evacuations and first aid coordination as required.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to leadership.

Job Overview: In Downtown Toronto, our Security Professionals will oversee a busy retail and commercial environment with high pedestrian traffic. Security staffare responsible foraccess control, mobile patrols,monitoringactivity, and responding to incidents while delivering strong customer service to tenants, employees, and visitors in a professional setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular patrols of the property (interior and exterior), including parking areas, entrances, and common spaces, to ensure safety andidentifyany security risks or hazards
• Monitor and control access to the building by verifying IDs, managing visitor/vendor entry, and ensuring only authorized individuals enter restricted areas
• Observe site activity andmonitorCCTV, alarm systems, and access control systems to detect suspicious behavior or incidents
• Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, emergencies, or disturbances, and elevate to emergency services or management whenrequired.
• Maintain a visible presence to deter theft, vandalism, trespassing, and other unauthorized activities.
• Provide customer service support byassistingtenants, employees, and visitors with directions, inquiries, and general site support.
• Enforce property rules, safety procedures, and company policies tomaintainorder anda secureenvironment.
• Support emergency procedures such as evacuations, first aid response, and coordination with first responders whenrequired.
• Conduct routine inspections of doors, locks, gates, and lighting to ensure the property is secure andreportmaintenance or safety concerns.
• Perform duties and tasks assigned by the Security Leadership team and respond to the directions of theclient.

Prerequisites:

• Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
• Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider
• Strong communication skills and an upbeat, professional attitude
• Prior experience in security and/or post-secondary education in a related field would be considered an asset
• Applicants who do not possessthese certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification program prior to their onboardingtraining to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
• Legally authorized to work in Canada

Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the certifications with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
