Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Professional in Simcoe, ON. This position is part-time with Saturday and Sunday day shifts (0630-1830) and pays $20.00 per hour. Candidates must hold a valid Ontario Security Guard License, First Aid/CPR, and be comfortable standing for long periods.

The role involves mobile patrols, monitoring CCTV and alarms, and coordinating with clients and staff to ensure safety. A high school diploma or equivalent is required along with experience in report writing

• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mobile patrols of designated areas to deter unauthorized activity and protect personnel and property.
• Monitor surveillance systems and alarms, responding to security breaches or disturbances.
• Perform security checks of buildings and access points to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Interact with clients, visitors, and employees; provide directions and information while enforcing policies.
• Report security incidents or hazards to supervisors; document observations and actions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders to coordinate responses to incidents.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of patrols and incidents in line with policies.
• Inspect security equipment and vehicles; report deficiencies for repairs.
• Conduct risk assessments and security audits; identify vulnerabilities and propose enhancements.
• Participate in training to improve procedures and emergency response knowledge.

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Status: Part-time

Shift: Saturdays & Sundays; Day Shifts (0630-1830).

Overview:

Allied Universal is currently hiring a Security Professional in Hamilton, ON to provide professional, front-line security services. This role is ideal for individuals with strong customer service skills, a professional demeanor, and a background in security.

Requirements:

• Must be eligible to work in Canada upto 24 hours per week.
• Must be comfortable standing for the entire shift.
• Must be at least 21years old for insurance purposes.
• Valid ON Security Guard License.

Specific Duties Performed and Essential Functions:

• Conduct mobile patrols of designated areas, including parking lots, premises, and other high-traffic areas, to deter unauthorized activity and ensure the safety of personnel and property
• Monitor surveillance systems and alarms, promptly responding to any security breaches, disturbances, or suspicious activities
• Perform security checks of buildings, doors, windows, and other access points to prevent unauthorized entry and ensure compliance with security protocols
• Interact with clients, visitors, and employees, providing assistance, directions, and information as needed while enforcing security policies
• Report any security incidents, accidents, or hazards immediately to supervisors or appropriate authorities, documenting observations and actions taken
• Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and other security personnel to coordinate responses to incidents and emergencies effectively
• Maintain accurate logs and records of patrol activities, incidents, and observations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Conduct routine inspections of security equipment, vehicles, and emergency supplies, reporting any issues or deficiencies for prompt resolution
• Conduct risk assessments and security audits of client premises, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending security enhancements to mitigate risks
• Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge of security procedures, emergency response protocols, and relevant regulation
