Job summary

Allied Universal in Milton, Ontario is seeking a Professional Security Guard for full-time coverage. You will monitor access points, conduct patrolling, and maintain professional interactions with staff and visitors.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, log keeping, operating CCTV and security room equipment, and complying with health and safety procedures. The role requires a valid Ontario security guard license and eligibility to work up to 40 hours/week.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm.
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• Ontario security guard license.
• Eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours per week.
• First Aid and CPR - Level C.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Access control for the facility/area.
• Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times.
• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate.
• Patrolling and following protocols as per the post orders, which may include indoor or outdoor patrols.
• Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site Emergencies.
• Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager.
• Demonstrate good judgment, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.
• Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Operate/monitor security room equipment including but not limited to computers, CCTV cameras, radio, etc.
• Perform in-car/vehicle patrols.

Job Title: Security Guard - Full Time

Job Location: Milton , ON

Pay Rate: $19.33 per hour

Shifts: Sunday 0700 - 1500hrs, Monday and Tuesday 1230 - 0000hrs
