Job summary

Allied Universal in Milton, ON is hiring a Professional Security Guard for a full-time role. The position requires vigilance, strong observation, and the ability to manage access control and emergency procedures.

You will present a polished, customer-friendly image and work the Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday shifts from 10am to 8pm. Candidates must hold a valid Ontario security guard license, be at least 18, and eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm
• Experience with report writing and note-taking
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems
• Valid Ontario security guard license
• Must be eligible to work in Canada upto 40 hours per week
• First Aid and CPR - Level C
• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

• Access control for the facility/area
• Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times
• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate
• Patrolling and following protocols as per the post orders, which may include indoor or outdoor patrols
• Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site emergencies
• Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager
• Demonstrate good judgment, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
• Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Operate/monitor security room equipment including but not limited to computers, CCTV cameras, radio, etc.
• Perform in-car/vehicle patrols
