Job summary

Paladin Security is seeking a part-time Security Guard for MaRS Discovery District in downtown Toronto. Weekend shifts run from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, delivering attentive service and reliable safety coverage for employees, researchers, and visitors.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Ability to provide proof of double COVID-19 vaccination, an updated Immunization Record, and a clear Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Completion of mandatory pre-placement training (First Aid, Management of Aggressive Behavior, Use of Force, and Report Writing) and post-hire online courses provided by Paladin.

Responsibilities

• Conducting proactive foot patrols across the facility to deter safety hazards and security risks.
• Responding promptly and effectively to routine incidents, alarms, and emergency situations.
• Investigating routine site matters and drafting detailed, accurate incident reports.
• Assisting visitors, staff, and tenants with professional and courteous service.

OT Method: Averaging Agreement after 88 hrs

What You'll Be Doing

Working assigned weekend shifts, you will ensure the security and safety of the premises through attentive customer service and rapid response. Key responsibilities include:

Conducting proactive foot patrols across the facility to deter safety hazards and security risks.

Responding promptly and effectively to routine incidents, alarms, and emergency situations.

Investigating routine site matters and drafting detailed, accurate incident reports.

Assisting visitors, staff, and tenants with professional and courteous service.

Must Haves
