Allied Universal is seeking a Professional Security Guard for overnight shifts in Hamilton, Ontario. The role requires vigilance, access control, patrols, and incident response to maintain a safe facility environment.

The position offers full-time hours, benefits including medical, dental, vision, and paid training. Pay rate is $18.54 per hour, with Sunday to Thursday 23:15–07:15 shifts. Candidates must have a valid Ontario security guard license and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm.
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• Valid Ontario security guard license.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours per week.
• First Aid and CPR - Level C.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

• Access control for the facility/area
• Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times
• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate
• Patrolling and following protocols as per the post orders, which may include indoor or outdoor patrols
• Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site emergencies
• Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager
• Demonstrate good judgment, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
• Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Operate/monitor security room equipment including but not limited to computers, CCTV cameras, radio, etc.
• Perform in-car/vehicle patrols
