Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Professional Security Guard in Hamilton, Ontario for a part-time role.

The position requires familiarity with access control, alarm systems, report writing, and CCTV monitoring, plus a valid Ontario security guard license. You must be 18 or older with a high school diploma or GED and be eligible to work in Canada up to 24 hours per week. First Aid/CPR Level C is required.

Responsibilities

• Access control for the facility/area.
• Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times.
• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate.
• Patrolling and following post orders, including indoor or outdoor patrols.
• Ensure safety and emergencies procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and site emergencies.
• Undertake site training and follow directions from Site Supervisor or Manager.
• Demonstrate good judgment and decision-making in emergencies.
• Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation, and communication.
• Operate CCTV, security room equipment, and radios.
• Perform in-car/vehicle patrols.

Allied Universal is seeking Professional Security Guards in Hamilton, Ontario.

Job Title: Security Guard - Part Time

Job Location: Hamilton , ON

Pay Rate: $20.10 per hour

Shifts: Friday 0830 - 1800hrs and Saturday 0830 - 1700hrs.

Requirement:

• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm.
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• Valid Ontario security guard license
• Must be eligible to work in Canada upto 24 hours per week.
• First Aid and CPR - Level C
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience

Specific Duties Performed and Essential Functions:

• Access control for the facility/area
• Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times
• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate
• Patrolling and following protocols as per the post orders, which may include indoor or outdoor patrols, etc.
• Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site Emergencies
• Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager
• Demonstrate goodjudgment, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
• Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Operate/monitor security room equipment including but not limited to computers, CCTV cameras, radio, etc.
• Perform in-car/vehicle patrols
