Allied Universal is seeking aSecurity Guard for overnight shifts in Hamilton, Ontario. The position covers 11-hour overnights Sunday to Thursday, with access control duties and monitoring CCTV to ensure safety and compliance.

Candidates should hold an Ontario security guard license, be at least 18, and have a high school diploma or GED. The role includes report writing, deescalation, and responding to emergencies with professional presentation.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm.

• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• Ontario security guard license.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours per week.
• First Aid and CPR - Level C.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Access control for the facility/area.
• Present a polished, professional image at all times.
• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate.
• Patrolling and following post orders, indoor or outdoor patrols.
• Follow safety and emergency procedures during alarms and site emergencies.
• Undertake site training and follow directions from supervisor.
• Make sound judgments and direct others in emergencies.
• Maintain meticulous records and incident reports.
• Operate security room equipment including CCTV, radios, and computers.
• Perform in-car/vehicle patrols.

Requirement

• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm .

Specific Duties Performed and Essential Functions

• Access control for the facility/area
• Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times
• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate
• Patrolling and following protocols as per the post orders, which may include indoor or outdoor patrols, etc.
• Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site Emergencies
• Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager
• Demonstrate goodjudgment, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
• Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Operate/monitor security room equipment including but not limited to computers, CCTV cameras, radio, etc.
• Perform in-car/vehicle patrols
