Allied Universal in Hamilton, Ontario, is seeking a part-time Security Guard to safeguard our client sites and maintain a secure, professional environment. The role requires a valid Ontario security guard license, current First Aid/CPR-C, and the ability to work Fridays and Saturdays as specified.

Responsibilities include access control, patrols, incident reporting, and ensuring procedures during emergencies.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Access control for the facility/area
• Present a polished, professional image at all times
• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate
• Patrolling and following post orders, including indoor or outdoor patrols
• Ensure safety and emergency procedures are followed during fire alarms and site emergencies
• Operate security room equipment (CCTV, radios, computers)
• Perform in-car/vehicle patrols

Job Description

Job Title: Security Guard - Part Time

Job Location: Hamilton , ON

Pay Rate: $20.10 per hour

Shifts: Friday 0830 - 1800hrs and Saturday 0830 - 1700hrs.

Requirement:

• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm .
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• Valid Ontario security guard license
• Must be eligible to work in Canada upto 24 hours per week.
• First Aid and CPR - Level C
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience

Specific Duties Performed and Essential Functions :

• Access control for the facility/area
• Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times
• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to deescalate
• Patrolling and following protocols as per the post orders, which may include indoor or outdoor patrols, etc.
• Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site Emergencies
• Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager
• Demonstrate goodjudgment, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
• Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Operate/monitor security room equipment including but not limited to computers, CCTV cameras, radio, etc.
• Perform in-car/vehicle patrols
