Job summary

Commissionaires Victoria, the Islands and Yukon is hiring a security associate for Cowichan Bay. You will provide access control and patrols, respond to emergencies, and ensure safety protocols are followed.

You must be alert, fluent in English, and able to work independently across varied shifts with training provided. Benefits include health coverage and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Ability to remain alert while on duty.
• Ability to work in a range of weather conditions throughout shift.
• Possess or be willing to obtain a valid BC security worker's license.
• Be comfortable using computers.
• Fluent in the English language - written, verbal and reading skills.
• Have a positive attitude with a professional demeanour.
• Have excellent attention to complete incident report writing.
• Have excellent problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable handling emergencies in a calm manner – training & support will be provided.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in varying situations.
• Must have reliable transportation to get to and from job site.
