Commissionaires Victoria, The Islands And Yukon seeks security professionals in Comox to provide customer service and onsite security for diverse clients on Vancouver Island and the Yukon region. Roles include patrols, access control and coordinating with the Client Service Manager.

Candidates should have a valid BC Security Licence, ability to obtain Government of Canada security clearance, and strong English communication.

Shift Times:Daytime/Evening

Reports to: Client Service Manager

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide superior customer service to clients and general public.
• Scheduled security staff and security contractor escorts.
• Book appointments.
• Provide access control and security foot patrols as needed.
• Process Serving (Document Service)
• ID services Technician Training
• Manage Car Fleet Maintenance Schedule
• Proactively respond to and resolve emergency situations and conflicts.
• Complete evacuation and emergency response procedures.
• Communicate problems or concerns to the Client Service Manager
• Assist CSM and Recruiting team with Onboarding new Commissionaires (issuing Uniforms, maintaining inventory of uniforms and PPE as required)
• Assist Commissionaires with obtaining Security Clearances and Security Licences.
• Ensure that each guard post within Commissionaires North is manned in accordance with orders and that the duties and responsibilities of each are carried out in accordance with pertinent regulations, directives and instructions as required.
• Ensure that all Commissionaires employed within North Regionare adequately trained, properly equipped and fully capable of performing their duties on site.
• Ensure that patrols are completed in accordance with the required schedules as promulgated by the Client Service Manager.
• Ensure that a high standard of dress and deportment is always maintained and that all guard posts and guard houses are maintained in a clean and orderly manner.
• Any other duties as stipulated in Post Orders, or directions of the Client Services Manager.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Must be able to obtain a reliable status security clearance with Government of Canada.
• Must obtain a BC Security Licence
• Must have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft suite programs.
• Must be able to stand and sit for long periods at a time.
• Must be able to work in a range of weather conditions to perform outdoor foot patrols.
• Must be fluent in the English language - written, verbal and reading skills.
• Must have a positive attitude with a professional demeanor, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Have excellent attention to detail to fulfill duties and responsibilities and incident report writing.
• Have excellent problem-solving skills with an ability to handle emergency situations in a calm manner.
• Have the ability to work independently and make sound decisions in varying situations.
• Have a demonstrated interest and experience in serving the public.
