Job summary

Fairmont Chateau Whistler is seeking a Security Agent to safeguard guests, employees and property in a luxury mountain resort setting. The role is full-time and permanent, commencing October 2026, with an starting hourly rate of CAD 23.30 and potential increases based on tenure and performance.

Responsibilities include patrols, incident reporting, crowd control and assisting guests with hotel facilities, while meeting the high standards of service that define Fairmont.

Qualifications

• Previous security or hospitality experience is required.
• OFA Level 2 First Aid Certification required.
• Class 5 Drivers License required.
• BST License (British Columbia Basic Security Training) required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of guests, employees and the property.
• Investigate and report violations, accidents, and crises.
• Conduct floor patrols, cash counts and crowd control.
• Assist guests with hotel facilities in a helpful way.

Security Agent

You ensure the safety and wellbeing of your fellow employees, guests and visitors. You are attentive, efficient and committed, and will ensure your property remains a safe, enjoyable workplace and travel destination.

This is a full-time, permanent position, starting October 2026.

Starting Rate of Pay:$23.30 per hour

We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $29.20.

Job Duties Include:

• Ensure the overall safety and security of the guests, employees and property premises
• Investigate and report any violations to law/property policy, occurrences of accidents, complaints, criminal activity and crisis situations
• Conduct regular floor patrols, cash counts and crowd control
• Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way

Qualifications

• Previous security/hospitality experience is required
• OFA level 2 First Aid Certification required
• Previous security/hospitality experience is required
• Class 5 Drivers License is required
• Possess a valid British Columbia Basic Security Training (BST) License
