Job summary

Fairmont Chateau Whistler is seeking a Reservations & Royal Service Agent to deliver warm, anticipatory service over the phone. This full-time, permanent role starts in November/December 2026 with a starting pay of 22.35 CAD per hour. Tenure-based increases to 26.95 CAD after 3 years.

The role involves handling guest inquiries, booking reservations, selling guestrooms and dining options, and ensuring seamless check-in/out processes to maximize revenue.

Qualifications

• Experience in front desk or reservations is an asset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to upsell and maximize revenue.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient one-stop service for guests and colleagues.
• Assist callers and redirect as needed.
• Take ownership of guest requests and follow up per hotel standards.
• Book and enter reservations using the PMS.
• Sell guestrooms, tee times and F&B to guests and groups.
• Update reservations for smooth check-in/out.
• Maximize revenue by upselling hotel facilities.

Reservations & Royal Service Agent

This is a full-time, permanent position, starting in November/December 2026.

Starting Rate of Pay: $22.35 per hour

We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $26.95.

Job Duties Include

• Provide an easy, efficient and consistent one stop service for guests and colleagues allowing seamless operational efficiency behind the scenes
• Assist all external and internal callers and redirecting if/when necessary
• Take ownership of the guest’s request and ensure follow up according to the hotel’s standards
• Book and enter room reservation requests using the Property Management System
• Sell guestrooms, tee times and Food & Beverage reservations to groups and individual callers
• Update reservations ensuring a flawless check in and check out process
• Ensure revenue is maximized by up-selling guest rooms and recommending hotel facilities

Qualifications

• Previous customer related experience required
• Previous Front Office or Reservations experience is an asset
• Previous Property Manager System experience preferred
• Working knowledge of Opera Cloud is an asset
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Professional telephone manner and demeanor with a natural response "smile" on the phone
• Demonstrated numerical aptitude with strong selling and assertiveness skills is a must
