Job Description

Title: Security Account Manager

Location: Fort Saskatchewan

Position: Full-Time / 40 hours

Shift: Monday - Friday - 8 hour shifts

Pay Rate: $70,000 to 72,500 per year

Special Requirements:

  • Due to the safety requirements - must clear drug testing
  • Due to PPE equipment, must maintain no facial hair (beards and mustache)
  • Clean criminal record
  • Must be over the age of 25 and clean drivers abstract due to insurance requirements

Overview:

As a Security Account Manager at Allied Universal® the Security Account Manager is accountable for day‑to‑day operations of an assigned account, including management and professional development of security personnel. The Security Account Manager builds, improves, and maintains relationships with clients and employees, develops and retains staff, coordinates needed support services and solves problems to effectively run the account. This role is responsible for meeting or exceeding financial and operational goals and providing quality customer service. The Security Account Manager maintains or oversees maintenance of weekly operating schedules, completion of payroll for assigned security personnel and provides after‑hour emergency response as required.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise the day‑to‑day security operations of an assigned client site
  • Manage a team of security officers, site and/or shift supervisors including hiring/selection, scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, development, and support
  • Ensure the client site is provided with high quality security services to protect people and property
  • Build, improve, and maintain effective relationships with both client and employees
  • Coordinate necessary support services to effectively manage client site to meet or exceed financial and operational goals and provide quality customer service
  • Provide support to the Security team on all HSE matters, including but not limited to investigations of injury/illness, completion of learning from Incidents packages, promoting the safety culture by ensuring it is re‑enforced throughout the security organization
  • The development and implementation of security policies, programs and contingency plans to minimize the security risks within the facility
  • Hosting security awareness training sessions, investigations for site incidents
  • Responsible for conducting mid‑year and end year evaluations for all security team professionals
  • Provide security related emergency response services and coordinate activities in the event of site wide emergency

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post secondary education, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain, a valid security license
  • Minimum of two (2) years of security supervisory experience
  • Valid Class 5 - drivers license with a clean drivers abstract

  • Proven experience in hiring, developing, motivating, and retaining quality team members
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with security systems and technologies is beneficial
  • Problem‑Solving: Ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions
  • Proficiency: in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
