Job summary

Dawson Road Maintenance is hiring Seasonal Operators with Class 1 or 3 licenses to clear snow and ice and maintain road safety across a defined service area in British Columbia.

Temporary, full-time position reporting to the Road Foreperson. You will operate heavy equipment in all weather, follow daily schedules, and ensure accurate logging and reporting while contributing to a safe, efficient road network.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of road maintenance and/or construction experience.
• Valid Class 1 license preferred, or Class 3 license required.
• Two years of commercial driving experience is an asset.
• Experience in snow removal is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of road construction materials and processes is helpful.
• Heavy Equipment Operating Certificate is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety of self and others in all tasks.
• Operate heavy equipment in all weather on public roadways.
• Collaborate with team to complete tasks and keep roads safe and clean.
• Follow supervisor daily production schedule and activities.
• Maintain equipment and complete work reports and maintenance logs.

Skills

Two years road maintenance experience

Valid Class 1 or Class 3 license

Two years commercial driving

Snow removal experience

Heavy equipment operation

Tablet-based reporting
