Job summary

Dawson Road Maintenance is seeking Seasonal Operators with a Class 1 or 3 license to clear snow and ice and maintain road safety across BC roads. This temporary, full-time role reports to the Road Foreperson and covers locations including 100 Mile House, Ashcroft, Gold Bridge, Clinton, Lillooet, and nearby areas.

This is not fly-in, fly-out. Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in road maintenance, are comfortable operating heavy equipment in all weather, and can manage electronic reporting on

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years of road maintenance and/or construction experience.
• Valid Class 1 preferred, or 3 Drivers license is required.
• Two (2) years commercial driving experience is an asset.
• Experience in snow removal is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of road construction materials, road construction processes and industry requirements.
• Heavy Equipment Operating Certificate an asset.
• Able to manage electronic reporting using tablets.
• Minor equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment in all weather conditions on public roadways in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Follow the Supervisor daily production schedule and activities.
• Maintain daily activity/work in progress and status of completion.
• Complete all work reports and maintenance logs.
• Keep roads and service area safe and clean.
