Job summary

Nakiska Ski Resort is seeking a Repair and Tuning Technician to tune and repair skis and snowboards for guests, including rental equipment. You will work with the Wintersteiger machine and ensure quality from intake to delivery, while maintaining tools and the shop environment.

Ideal candidates bring knowledge of ski/snowboard maintenance, epoxy, and certification in mounting/DIN settings. A flexible schedule including holidays and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of ski and snowboard maintenance and tuning (edging, base repair, hot waxing)
• Knowledge of ski and snowboard construction and epoxy preferred
• Certification in ski mounting, torque testing and DIN settings preferred
• Courses in Wintersteiger equipment use and maintenance preferred
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort incoming skis and snowboards according to established protocol
• Tune and repair skis and snowboards, finishing with the Wintersteiger tune machine for final stone structure and edge polishing, when necessary
• Inspect finished product and ensure it meets the quality standards established by the RRR Manager
• Properly organize finished product to ensure accurate and timely delivery
• Clean and maintain machines, workspace, and hand tools at the end of each day
• Perform closing procedures outlined by the RRR Manager and ready the shop for the next day
• Assist the RRR Manager with any additional duties as assigned
