Job summary

Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is seeking a seasonal Repair Technician to service rental equipment and assist guests with fitting and safety. You will provide excellent customer service, manage cash transactions, and maintain merchandise presentation in a fast-paced resort setting.

Ideal candidates have extensive tuning skills, prior rental experience, and comfort working weekends/holidays in a mountain environment. Join a team dedicated to safety and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Extensive ski/snowboard tuning skills.
• Previous rental experience.
• Proficiency with tuning tools like base grinders, stone grinders and ceramic disk edge finishers.
• Cash handling experience.
• Passion for mountain culture and resort environment.
• Strong customer service skills across diverse guests.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and POS systems.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift at least 30 pounds and work in extreme weather.

Job description

You Will

• Repair and maintain rental and guest ski & snowboard equipment.
• Demonstrate a commitment to exceeding guest’s expectations on a daily basis.
• Perform all cash handling duties (opening, cash balancing, coin orders and closing).
• Provide an exceptional level of customer service through direct interaction, sales and service.
• Maintain merchandise by stocking, facing, and general tidying of area.
• Assist guests with sizing and fitting appropriate equipment for comfort and safety.
• Be an advocate for health and safety, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

You Have

• Extensive ski/snowboard tuning skills.
• Previous rental experience.
• Familiarity with tuning tools like base grinders, stone grinders, and ceramic disk edge finishers.
• Cash handling experience.
• A passion for mountain culture, skiing/snowboarding, and the resort environment.
• Strong customer service skills, working effectively with diverse people.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and POS systems.
• Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to handle brief exposure to extreme weather and lift at least 30 pounds.

• Repair Technician Level 1 - $19.77 - $20.40 per hour.
