Job summary

The Salvation Army in Windsor, ON is seeking a temporary seasonal full-time Kettle Campaign Coordinator to lead and support Christmas kettle volunteers. You will recruit volunteers, coordinate shifts, ensure secure donations, and communicate daily issues to the supervisor.

The role requires high school completion, a valid Ontario G license, background check, and experience in customer service or office administration.

Qualifications

• Completed High School or equivalent.
• Prior‑related experience would be a definite asset (i.e. Campaign coordinating/Event, Fundraising experience).
• Valid Ontario Class "G" Driver's License, current copy of driver’s abstract that is satisfactory to The Salvation Army, in its sole discretion, is required.
• Must provide an original copy of a Background Check that is satisfactory to The Salvation Army, in its sole discretion, is required.
• The screening is secured either through the national Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) or through a local police detachment.
• May require screening through The Salvation Army Abuse Registry.

Responsibilities

• Promote, coordinate, and oversee the activities of Christmas Kettle Campaign volunteers.
• Recruit kettle volunteers (including individuals, groups, organizations and businesses).
• Oversee the operations of the Christmas Kettle campaign including supervise, support, schedule volunteers and respond to emergency absences, etc.
• Orient and remind volunteers on proper Kettle handling and duties as required.
• Visit locations during shift changes and intermittently.
• Remain at the Kettle for the full shift (until relieved), ensuring security of donations received.
• Communicate daily issues and supply deficiencies to the supervisor.
• Foster and maintain positive working relationships with kettle locations’ management and employees.
• Perform other position related duties as required.
