Job summary

The Salvation Army in Ontario seeks a temporary Christmas Kettle Campaign Worker to join the kettle team. You will support deployment of kettles, ensure safe handling and secure donations, and assist volunteers through shift changes and site visits.

You may coordinate schedules, respond to donor inquiries, and help recruit kettle staff. The role requires reliability, basic office skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced public environment, including outdoor settings.

Qualifications

• Ability to deliver friendly customer service in a fast-paced public setting.
• Basic office skills including scheduling and data entry.
• Reliability, punctuality and attention to safety and security.
• Experience with scheduling databases and Microsoft Office is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Attend training and orientation for the Christmas Kettle Campaign.
• Support kettle deployment to zones prior to staff/volunteer arrival.
• Ensure donations are secured and delivered to the secure location.
• Communicate daily issues and supply needs to the supervisor.
• Supervise and coordinate kettle workers/volunteers as required.
• Record weekly time sheets and assist with site organization.
