Bass Pro Shops in Halifax, NS is hiring a Seasonal Cashier Associate to join our front-end team. You will greet customers, process transactions, and provide a friendly, legendary customer experience during the holiday season.

This part-time role requires reliable cash handling, strong customer service, and the ability to handle busy periods. Training on POS systems will be provided, and you may interview on the spot during our hiring event.

Qualifications

• One or more years’ experience in a sales or service environment is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer’s expectations.
• Experience in a related field or outdoor lifestyle is an asset.
• Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s products is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage customers at checkout with a friendly, enthusiastic manner.
• Use POS systems to complete transactions accurately and quickly.
• Process payments with debit, credit, gift cards, and cash.
• Resolve customer issues with good judgment and escalate when needed.
• Assist in opening/closing duties and store operations as needed.
• Support asset protection procedures and inventory checks.
