Job summary

Bass Pro Shops in Calgary is hiring a part-time seasonal cashier. You will greet customers, process transactions accurately, and promote our programs while using the SAP POS system.

You’ll handle cash and cards, resolve issues, and support store operations under the Retail Manager - Operations. The role requires a customer-service mindset, basic math, and the ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor lifestyle retail environment.

Qualifications

• One or more years’ experience in a sales or service environment is preferred.
• Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer’s expectations.
• Ability to use good judgment and logic in solving problems.

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage customers in a friendly and enthusiastic manner.
• Provide a legendary experience for every customer and promote Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s programs.
• Use Point-Of-Sale and Inventory (SAP) systems to complete transactions following policies.
• Process customer payments using debit, credit card, gift cards, and cash.
• Respond to and resolve customer issues by using good judgment and logic.
• Assist asset protection in following procedures and policies, including checks of inside products and price switches.
• Notify a Manager on Duty of issues affecting customer experience.
• Perform opening and closing duties and keep counters organized.
• Assist in other store areas as needed.
