Job summary

Bass Pro Shops in Dartmouth, NS is seeking a Part-Time Seasonal Camping Associate to join our team during the holiday season, delivering legendary customer service and expert product knowledge.

Reporting to the Retail Manager, you will assist customers, maintain store visuals, promote programs, restock merchandise, and enjoy the Outfitter Discount during the National Hiring Event on Oct 7–8 from 10 am to 7 pm. The role is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts who thrive in a busy retail setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in sales or service preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Assess customer needs and recommend products accordingly.
• Provide superior customer service and exceed expectations.
• Use good judgment and logic in handling situations.
• Experience in outdoor lifestyle or related field is nice to have.
• Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s products is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide legendary customer service by assisting customers in making buying decisions.
• Promote various company programs and promotions.
• Maintain visual presentation standards including signage, restocking, and floor recovery.
• Respond to and resolve customer issues using good judgment and logic.

Summary: Reporting to the Retail Manager, a Part-Time Seasonal Camping Associate will work within a team to create a world class shopping experience by providing legendary customer service and exceptional product knowledge to every customer.

Responsibilities

• Provide legendary customer service by assisting customers in making buying decisions by identifying and evaluating customers’ needs, and making product recommendations based off of this analysis
• Promote various company programs and promotions
• Maintain visual presentation standards including in-store signage, merchandise recovering/front facing, restocking, remerchandising, dusting, and vacuuming sales floor as needed
• Respond to and resolve customer issues by using good judgment and logic in solving problems and making decisions within the job scopeAssist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate
• Demonstrate a passion for the outdoors by maintaining knowledge of trends and emerging technologies that relate to the outdoor lifestyle
• Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate
