Job summary

Rundle College Society is seeking Building Attendants to join our roster as casual/on-call staff for the school campuses. These hourly positions involve security rounds, room setup for events, cleaning, and basic maintenance. Must be able to work independently and handle after-hours requests with reliability.

Applicants should provide First Aid certification and be prepared for police checks. OH&S training is preferred, and a Class 5 driver's license is an asset.

Qualifications

• Police information check and Vulnerable Sector Check required.
• First Aid certification required.
• OH&S training (WHMIS, fire safety, fall protection) required.
• Class 5 driver’s license considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Open/close the school, operate alarm systems, and perform security rounds.
• Be onsite contact for evening visitors and user groups; assist as needed.
• Perform pre/post checks and after-hours reports for rental spaces and events.
• Prepare and set up rooms for meetings/events and clean up afterward.
• Carry out daily cleaning tasks and seasonal cleaning.
• Respond to emergencies during shift and complete maintenance requests.
• Identify safety risks and take immediate action as required.
• Snow removal and ice management in winter.
• Occasional coverage of other shifts and locations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal and Facilities Manager.
