Job summary

Traverse Independence is seeking a Scheduling Specialist for a permanent full-time, hybrid role in Ontario. You will report to the Manager of Community Services and be responsible for ensuring adequate staffing, coordinating site coverage, and filling both scheduled and unscheduled absences.

The role requires post-secondary education with business courses, strong Microsoft Office skills, and at least one year of administrative experience.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education with applicable business courses.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and Windows proficiency.
  • Minimum one year experience in administrative duties.
  • Experience with scheduling software and HRIS an asset.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of collective agreements and relevant legislation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive scheduling services and maintain staffing levels.
  • Approve overtime when necessary, according to guidelines.
  • Monitor absence and scheduling documentation.
  • Maintain scheduling documents including call-sheets and master schedules.
  • Support site coverage and on-call responsibilities including early mornings, evenings, and alternating weekends.
