Qualifications

• Experience as a scale house operator or strong customer service setting.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient computer skills with scale software and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Operate the scale system to accurately weigh incoming and outgoing metal materials.
• Record weights and relevant information in the computer system or on paper records.
• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions, weights, material types, and customer information.
• Verify the identification and documentation of drivers, carriers, and vehicles while issuing receipts and processing payments.
• Provide general administrative support, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and maintaining filing systems.

Job Description

As a Scale Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately documenting weights and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
