Job summary

AIM Recycling, part of American Iron & Metal (AIM), is seeking a Scale and Transportation Clerk for the Baie-Comeau site. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, and reports to the Site Manager.

You will support administrative tasks, planning, transportation, and customer service to ensure smooth daily operations. Key duties include weighing vehicles, data entry, ticket creation, and coordination of truck dispatches while maintaining accurate records and providing excellent client service

Qualifications

• Comfortable providing customer service in person and by phone/screen.
• Able to organize and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in French and English; collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Open/close daily operations including cash management and reports.
• Greet customers, provide pricing information, deliver excellent service.
• Weigh vehicles, enter data into RECY, and issue scale tickets/delivery slips.
• Coordinate transportation, dispatch trucks, and track shipments.
• Manage tickets, invoices, shipments and liaise with Accounting.

Job Description

AIM is currently looking for an Scale and Transportation Clerk for our Baie-Comeau site. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will play an important role in the smooth operation of the department. You will support the team with administrative tasks, planning, transportation and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle the opening and closing of daily operations, including cash management and report preparation;
• Welcome customers, provide pricing information and deliver excellent customer service, both in person and by phone;
• Weigh vehicles, enter data into RECY, and prepare scale tickets and delivery slips;
• Coordinate transportation activities, including truck dispatching and shipment tracking;
• Manage operational documentation (tickets, invoices, shipments) and follow up with the Accounting department;
• Enter and track information in internal systems, ensuring data accuracy;
• Follow up on customer accounts and payments, and respond to information requests;
• Perform various administrative tasks and contribute to improving work practices.
