American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking a Scale Clerk in Hamilton, Ontario. You will join a dynamic team operating the scale, documenting weights, and delivering exceptional customer service from Monday through Friday with overtime on Saturdays available.

A strong focus on accuracy, cash handling, and attentive communication is essential for success. The role includes weight documentation, payment processing, and maintaining records in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a scale house operator or in a strong customer service setting.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with scale software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Operate the scale system to accurately weigh incoming and outgoing metal materials.
• Record weights and relevant information in the computer system or on paper records.
• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions, weights, material types, and customer information.
• Verify the identification and documentation of drivers, carriers, and vehicles while issuing receipts, and process payments accurately.
• Provide general administrative support, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and maintaining filing systems.

We are seeking a Scale Clerk to join our team from Monday through Friday (Saturday OT available).
As a Scale Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately documenting weights and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
