West Fraser in Quesnel is seeking a skilled Millwright to join our maintenance team in the sawmill. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment to maximize uptime during production shifts.

The ideal candidate has millwright certification or is an apprentice, with strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, and teamwork. Sawmill experience is an asset; safety and collaboration are essential in our supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Sawmill experience is an asset.
• Journeyperson certification or apprenticeship required.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with other trades and employees.

• Flexible schedule including days, nights, and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work safely adhering to SOPs and lockouts.
• Preventative maintenance and repair of conveyors, drives, and compressors.
• Operate hoisting devices for positioning machinery during setup and repair.
• Work in man-lifts with fall protection.
• Repair hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, and cylinders.
• Collaborate effectively with team members.
