Job summary

BYD is seeking a Training Specialist to design and deliver engaging sales, service, and management training for dealer networks across Canada. The role includes in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats with frequent dealer visits to enhance product knowledge, customer experience, and operational excellence.

You will develop localized training materials, analyse training needs with HQ, and manage the Canadian LMS while aligning with global standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in automotive retail, dealer training, sales training, or related L&D.
• Strong understanding of Canadian automotive retail and dealer environment; NEV exposure a plus.
• Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management and coordination.
• Fully professional English and French; frequent travel across Canada required.
• Valid Canadian work status and driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver in-person, virtual, and hybrid training for dealer teams.
• Conduct dealer visits across Canada to provide product, sales, customer experience, and ops training.
• Partner with dealer teams and HQ to identify training needs and measure outcomes with KPIs.
• Operate the Learning Management System in Canada and coordinate HQ communications.
• Support rollout of global training initiatives and maintain dealer relationships.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

1. 1. Sales Training Design and Delivery
2. Design and deliver engaging in-person, virtual, and hybrid training programs for dealer sales, service, and management teams. Conduct regular dealer visits across Canada to provide product, sales, customer experience, and operational training.
3. 2. Content development and Localization
4. Develop and localize training materials, including presentations, facilitator guides, and digital learning resources, to meet Canadian market needs.
5. 3. Training Needs Analysis & Outcome Examination
6. Partner with dealer teams and internal stakeholders to identify training needs and develop targeted learning solutions. Evaluate training effectiveness through prticipant feedback, assessments, and relevant KPIs, and provide regular reports to the Canadian team and HQ.
7. 4. Training System Operation and Resource Management
8. Manage the operation of Learning Management System in Canada. and promptly update HQ to ensure consistent and accurate information across all customer touchpoints.
9. Support the rollout of global training initiatives, maintain alignment with HQ standards, and build strong relationships with dealer stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills

1. 1. At least 2 years of experience in automotive retail, dealer training, sales training, or a related learning and development role.
2. 2. Strong understanding of the Canadian automotive retail and dealer environment; experience with new energy vehicles is an asset.
3. 3. Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and project coordination skills; able to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment.
4. 4. Fully professional English and French proficiency. Willingness and ability to travel frequently across Canada is required.
5. 5. Valid Canadian work status (Work Permit / Permanent Resident / Citizen). Valid driver’s license in Canada.
