About our Client

Our client, a leader in the agribusiness sector, plays a crucial role in the safe distribution of food across various supply chains. They handle over 100 of the world's most essential agricultural commodities and ingredients, including both conventional and certified organic products. They are currently seeking a Sales Team Lead to join their expanding North American Trading Desk. This role is based at their award-winning Vancouver headquarters, a LEED Gold-certified building that features a rooftop terrace, a fully equipped fitness center, and end-of-trip facilities such as bicycle storage and showers. As the Sales Team Lead, you will guide your team to maximize revenue opportunities and meet or exceed sales targets, contributing to the company's growth. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS ON ONSITE ROLE

SALARY RANGES FROM 120 - 140K DEPENDING ON EXP (plus bonus, full benefits and profit sharing)

Responsibilities

  • Coach and support your team, fostering individual development aligned with business-wide objectives.
  • Develop and maintain extensive business relationships in the marketplace.
  • Actively drive new business growth by cultivating new relationships with both end customers and suppliers.
  • Negotiate purchase and sales contracts with customers and suppliers, ensuring all contracts are properly executed.
  • Gain knowledge about the North American agriculture market, agricultural commodities and ingredients, and the operations of our end customers and suppliers.
  • Provide support and guidance to your team through claims, disputes, or conflicts, maintaining fairness and business relationships.
  • Set and monitor examples of “Best in Class” customer service levels.
  • Foster an internal culture of professionalism, healthy competition, and collaboration.

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of experience in a physical commodity trading position or senior sales experience managing key accounts within a quick sales cycle in a team-based environment. This industry is highly trainable for the right personality.
  • Exceptional negotiation, time management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and work effectively with others.
  • A professional and resilient attitude with a desire to achieve greatness.
