Description

ASC Engineered Solutions is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to manage sales for the Ontario Region. The role involves engaging with established PVF (Pipe, Valve and Fitting) distributors and contractors within the territory. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the successful candidate will expand their knowledge in Mechanical, PVF, and Fire Protection industries. The company sells primarily through distribution channels, with a focus on maintaining ongoing contact with end users.

How You Will Help
  • Develop and manage sales in the assigned territory
  • Engage with product end users, including wholesale distributors, to promote products and develop favorable specifications
  • Work with consulting engineers to specify products and demonstrate features through presentations
  • Spend approximately 50% of time working with mechanical and fire protection contractors to promote ASC products through distribution channels
  • Provide comprehensive support to the distributor network, including quotes, training, technical support, handling complaints, inventory, and delivery issues
  • Conduct product training for end users and distributors to highlight benefits and improve specifications
  • Build relationships with key distributors and end-user personnel to increase product demand
  • Set and meet sales and specification targets aligned with company goals
  • Identify bidding opportunities and develop project proposals with pricing strategies
  • Manage after-sales services, including warranty and claims
  • Participate in promotional activities to enhance ASC's presence
  • Maintain and update the end-user database
  • Report monthly on sales, forecasts, and market insights to the NSM
What You Will Bring
  • At least five (5) years of outside sales experience in PVF or related industries (construction, piping, etc.)
  • Experience with PVF at wholesale and head office levels
  • Experience working with mechanical and fire protection contractors is advantageous
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to multitask across sectors
  • Good judgment, decision-making, and goal-oriented planning skills
  • Valid driver's license with clean record
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and CRM platforms
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comfort with public speaking and presenting to large groups
Desired Degrees
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, communications, or a related field, or a 3-year college degree preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude is a plus
