This customer-focused role blends technical expertise with consultative selling to help clients optimize operations. The successful candidate will build long-term partnerships, perform product demonstrations, prepare proposals, and collaborate with engineering and service teams to deliver timely solutions.

Qualifications

  • Experience in technical sales or sales engineering within an industrial setting.
  • Ability to translate customer requirements into practical technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate centrifuge equipment, parts, repair, and service solutions.
  • Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and commercial presentations.
  • Provide pre-sale and post-sale technical support, ensuring customer satisfaction and successful project execution.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, site visits, and technical consultations.
  • Collaborate with service specialists, engineering teams, and operations personnel to ensure accurate and timely delivery of solutions.
  • Generate new business opportunities through networking, prospecting, and territory development.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer activities, opportunities, and forecasts within the CRM system.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies.
  • Participate in trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings as required.
  • Contribute to sales strategy development and achievement of regional revenue objectives.

Position Summary

Centrifuges Unlimited Inc. is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Sales Engineer to drive business growth and deliver industry-leading centrifuge solutions throughout Western Canada. This customer-focused role combines technical expertise and consultative selling to help clients optimize their operations through equipment, parts, service, and refurbishment solutions.

The ideal candidate will work closely with customers to understand operational challenges, recommend tailored solutions, and develop long-term partnerships. This position offers the opportunity to engage with a diverse range of industries and play a key role in expanding CUI's market presence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate centrifuge equipment, parts, repair, and service solutions.

QualificationsRequired
  • Proven experience in technical sales, sales engineering, or account management within an industrial environment.
  • Strong ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience providing technical support, troubleshooting assistance, and application guidance.
  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related field; equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout Western Canada.
Preferred
  • Experience with centrifuges, rotating equipment, pumps, compressors, process equipment, or related industrial machinery.
  • Background serving customers in the oil & gas, mining, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Knowledge of industrial maintenance, reliability, and process optimization practices.
