Job summary

JAK’s Beer Wine Spirits in Langley is hiring a Service Champion to create memorable guest experiences and help customers discover great drinks. You’ll join a team that loves learning and sharing knowledge about wine, beer, and spirits.

In this role you’ll handle guest engagement, smooth till service, and stock control while contributing to a fun, customer-focused culture. Perks include certifications and a monthly tasting allowance.

Qualifications

• Customer-first attitude and enthusiasm for guest service.
• Experience in retail or hospitality is a plus.
• Interest in wine, beer, spirits, and learning new products.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform stock/inventory tasks.
• Available evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Guest Engagement: Chat with customers, recommend local favourites, and suggest food pairings.
• Till & Checkout: Deliver friendly, efficient service at the register.
• Merchandising & Stocking: Receive orders, unload pallets, and keep the sales floor looking great.
• Inventory & Warehouse: Keep product stocked, organized, and ready for guests.

What You’ll Be Doing

Who We’re Looking For

You don't need to be a master sommelier on day one - we’ll teach you! We’re looking for team members who bring energy and passion to the floor:

• Customer-First Attitude: You enjoy helping people and making connections.


• Retail or Hospitality Experience: Prior customer service experience is a plus.


• Product Curiosity: An interest in wine, craft beer, cider, or spirits (and an eagerness to keep learning!).


• Physical Readiness: Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs and manage physical inventory work.


• Flexibility: Available to work evenings and weekends.
