Job summary

Staples Canada is seeking a customer-focused retail associate in Saskatoon to deliver exceptional service and grow sales across furniture, technology and supplies. You will help maintain store standards, assist customers with tailored recommendations, and operate the POS system to complete transactions.

You will work with store leaders to set sales and margin goals, support merchandising plans, and ensure a clean, safe shopping environment.

Qualifications

• 3 months to 1 year of prior retail experience (preferred).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Specifically, you will

• Engage with and sell to all our customers by offering tailored products and services using all tools and techniques available in our selling model to anticipate and meet future customer needs.
• Handle transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including shipping transactions and marketing tools to convert customers.
• Calmly de-escalate and assist in complex customer situations to ensure their concerns are addressed effectively or refer to a manager/supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe store environment by performing tasks like dusting, front‑facing products, and ensuring demo units are clean and functional.
