The Safety & Compliance Coordinator supports DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and MTO requirements, serving as a key contact for drivers and enabling continuous improvement in safety systems and reporting.

Based in Pointe-Claire, QC or Etobicoke, ON, the role blends on-site and remote work with travel.

Qualifications

• College diploma in logistics or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a safety and compliance role within transportation and logistics.
• Working knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and MTO regulations.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and comfort with Samsara/ELD systems.

Responsibilities

• Escalate driver safety concerns and issues unresolved at front line.
• Oversee Hours of Service (HOS) matters and aid drivers with ELDs and log management.
• Manage Samsara and ELD systems and monitor alerts regularly.
• Generate reports related to telematics devices and data.
• Pull Driver Abstracts and CVOR quarterly.
• Ensure incident reporting and document accidents for claims.
• Report monthly on SMS and CVOR scores and drive improvements.
• Maintain driver binders and manage permitting and plating.
• Conduct fleet audits and assist with IFTA filing.
