Join to apply for the Robotic Field Service Engineer role at FANUC America Corporation.

We are seeking an experienced Robot Field Service Technician to provide onsite repair, troubleshooting, programming, or maintenance services for FANUC robots and related equipment. The technician will work at the Mississauga location, coordinate activities, provide hotline support, and travel as needed to customer sites, including occasional overnight stays. The role involves long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays, requiring adherence to FANUC Canada’s work standards.

This position reports to the Supervisor - Service and Installation in the Canada Service group.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain FANUC Robots, controllers, and peripheral equipment.
  2. Provide phone and email support to resolve operational issues and coordinate spare parts deliveries.
  3. Communicate effectively within FANUC and with customers.
  4. Maintain a service toolkit and documentation for rapid response.
  5. Coordinate activities with the Service Supervisor/Manager.
  6. Respond to after-hours support calls on a rotating basis.
  7. Travel to customer sites as required (up to 90%).
Candidate Requirements
  1. College diploma or equivalent in Robotics, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or related fields, or relevant experience.
  2. At least ten years of experience in robotics, automation, or manufacturing.
  3. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively within the service area and occasionally to the US.
  4. Experience in robot assembly, disassembly, and troubleshooting, preferably in OEM or automotive manufacturing environments.
  5. Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
  6. Proficiency in interpreting technical schematics and documentation.
  7. Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in demanding environments.
  8. Knowledge of FANUC robots, controllers, and software is preferred.
