Job summary

BA Blacktop Ltd is seeking a team-oriented Project Coordinator to join the Operations department in Fraser Valley. You will assist the Project Manager with design and construction activities to ensure safe, high-quality project completion.

Responsibilities include preplanning, scheduling, QA/QC leadership, safety audits, QMP maintenance, meeting minutes, and daily site coordination. Strong road construction knowledge and organizational skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Broad understanding of road construction and related activities.
• Broad understanding of the QMP and testing requirements for roadway.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
• OFA Level 1 or Higher.
• Fall Protection and Rescue.
• QA, QC training and quantity tracking.

Responsibilities

• Preplan and schedule project activities on a daily to weekly basis.
• Implement the project Quality Management System as lead quality coordinator.
• Create a safe site and working environment with safe methods.
• Record meeting minutes for foremen’s meetings and coordination.
• Update/revise QMP and ensure Hold/Check Points signed off by Engineers.
• Assist the construction manager and superintendents with field operations.
• Track materials using quantity tracking sheets and perform QA checks.
• Participate in project meetings and write NCRs/OFIs/RFIs as needed.
• Coordinate with Environmental team and designations to meet requirements.
• Take weekly project photos and ensure compliance with OH&S regulations.
