Job summary

Jardeg is currently recruiting for an Entry-Level Traffic Control Person to join the team in Coquitlam, BC. This role is full-time with a 5 days on, 2 days off schedule, typically 8 hours per day, and overtime possible as needed on site.

Responsibilities include monitoring traffic control schedules, directing traffic around construction sites with signs and signals, and setting up equipment. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED; CSTS/WHMIS and Traffic Control certifications are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Traffic Control Person certificate considered an asset.
• CSTS/WHMIS Certificates
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift, push, pull, carry, and stretch regularly.
• Capable of learning through on-the-job training; willing to learn.
• Strong work ethic and dependable; a good communicator with teamwork skills.
• Reliable transportation
• Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada

• Setting up and removing traffic control equipment within a construction site area, including pylons, signage, and barricades.
• Identify hazards and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with traffic safety regulations.
• Communication with the construction crews and general public.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work site as requested.
• General site housekeeping duties as required.
• Assist with other duties as required to support the site team.
• Will be required to adhere to company safety standards, policies, and guidelines
