Jardeg is recruiting for an Entry-Level Traffic Control Person to join the team in Coquitlam, BC. The role involves directing traffic around construction sites, setting up equipment, and ensuring safety compliance on a day shift.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (or GED), a Traffic Control Certificate is a plus, and a willingness to learn on the job. Local candidates with reliable transportation are preferred.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Traffic Control Person certificate considered an asset.
• CSTS/ WHMIS Certificates.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift, push, pull, carry, and stretch regularly.
• Capable of learning through on-the-job training; willing to learn.
• Strong work ethic and dependable; a good communicator with teamwork skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor daily activities and traffic control schedule.
• Direct the flow of traffic around construction sites using signs, hand signals, and communication devices.
• Set up and remove traffic control equipment within a construction site area, including pylons, signage, and barricades.
• Identify hazards and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with traffic safety regulations.
• Communicate with construction crews and the general public.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work site as requested.
• Assist with other duties to support the site team.
• Adhere to company safety standards, policies, and guidelines.
