Job summary

Jardeg is currently recruiting a Labourer to join the team at the Delta Shop & Yard in Delta, BC. The role is 40 hours per week on a 5 days on / 2 days off schedule, with day shift, in a shop and yard setting.

The candidate must have a high school diploma and CSTS/WHMIS certificates, plus knowledge of construction tools and safety practices. Experience with power tools and forklifts is valued, with asset for Telehandler/EWP use. Local transportation required.

• Ability to perform physically demanding work in all weather conditions.
• Capable of learning through on-the-job training.
• Strong work ethic and dependable; a good communicator with teamwork skills.
• Ability to point out safety compliance and regulatory issues; take appropriate actions when needed.
• Reliable transportation.
• Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Remove debris, scrap materials, and waste from the facility as needed.
• May be required to assist the mechanic and/or other trades personnel with tasks.
• May be required to operate various power tools and/or operate equipment when qualified.
